Why Give?
For over 60 years, the WMS community has generously supported an exceptional Montessori education, with parents, parents of alumni, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, students, and friends making Washington Montessori School a priority in their charitable giving.
Gifts to the Annual Fund range from $10 to $20,000+. All donations are fully tax deductible and can be paid in one sum, monthly, quarterly, or on a schedule that suits you (our fiscal year runs July 1-June 30). For instance, a $1,000 pledge could be split into 10 $100 monthly payments.

Online Giving
Gifts may be made online through our secure payment software using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express), direct debit, PayPal, or Venmo.
Check, Cash & ACH

Stock Gifts
Stock Transfers to Washington Montessori School
Stocks, Bonds, Exchange Traded Funds – Union Savings Bank will accept gifts, on behalf WMS, of publicly traded stocks, bonds, and exchange-traded funds that are DTC eligible. Gifts of securities are valued as follows: the average trading price on the day the gift is made (which is the average of the high and low price for the day), is multiplied by the number of shares or par value donated to arrive at the gift value. Mutual fund shares – Union Savings Bank will accept gifts on behalf of WMS of shares in publicly traded mutual funds. Instructions on how to transfer such mutual funds is unique to each fund and will be provided once the fund has been identified and approved for transfer by Union Savings Bank’s Wealth Management department.

Matching Gifts
Many corporations offer employee Matching Gift programs, which is an opportunity to double your contribution to WMS. Please consult with your company’s HR department to determine if your employer participates and for additional information. Employer matching gifts will be acknowledged in our Annual Giving report.
