Important Medical Information For New and Returning Families

Parents with children who meet the following criteria are required to submit current* medical forms to attend school:

  • Students newly enrolled at WMS
  • All YCC and Lower School students (including students entering LS)
  • Students entering 6th grade

*Current is within the last 365 days.

If your child takes medication and you would like the option to have standing orders for regular over-the-counter meds, please fill out the relevant forms in the “optional” section. 

School nurse

During the academic year, Washington Montessori School employs a full-time school nurse to address student health concerns if they arise on campus. 

The school’s nurse is Alia McGinnis, RN BSN  — an experienced registered nurse and WMS current parent. If you have any health questions or concerns about your child, please contact Alia.

Student Services Team

The WMS Student Services Team (SST) — made up of learning specialists, a school counselor, administrators, and outside providers — works closely with families and faculty to support students in academic areas as well as social-emotional learning, communication skills, and executive functioning such as organization and self-regulation.
