The Middle School Humanities classes will be visiting a Buddhist Temple in Morris, CT during their Humanities blocks on Tuesday October 8.
• Splits A, B, and D will depart at 8:40 am and return at 10:40 am
• Splits C and E will depart at 10:40 am and return 12:40 pm
The goal of our field trip is to explore more of the Buddhist religion in their house of worship, deepening our respect and appreciation for the spirituality of others.
Guiding questions we are keeping in mind as we are navigating this unit are:
What do I believe?
What do the people around me believe?
Why is religion and/or spirituality the foundation of many people’s lives?
How can religion be both a positive and divisive force in human society?
What are the differences and similarities between the world’s main religions?
Thank you for your support. Please feel free to reach out to the Humanities team with any questions you may have.
The Humanities Team,
Francesca, Kylie, and Tory
