LE Residency- Australia

LE Australian Residency week was March 30 to April 3. 

Our presenter was Paul Taylor, an Australian Aboriginal ethnomusicologist with a degree in acting from the Royal Academy in England; he is also a musician and an artist.  He teaches at the University of Minnesota, and gives residencies and performances around the country except for several months of the year, when he lives in Australia and studies under his Aboriginal shaman teacher and guide.

Each class made didjeridoos on the base color of their totem. There were four tribes: 

Stacey's  Great White Sharks  - base color white
Martha's  Kangaroos  - base color yellow
Teresa's Tasmanian Tigers or Devils  - base color black
Robert's  Rainbow Snakes  - base color red
