MS Trip to Ellis Island

Dear Parents of Sixth and Seventh Grade Students,
To culminate our study of immigration and our own family histories, we are going on a field trip! On Tuesday, April 8, 2008, all sixth and seventh year students will be going on a trip to Ellis Island . We will leave WMS at promptly 8:00 am (please arrive by 7:50 am) and return at 5:00 pm. We will travel by chartered bus. Barat, Hallie, Amy, Jared, Carol, and Michelle and Stephen Paduano will be going on this trip.Each student should bring a bagged disposable lunch. There is a gift shop, so it is okay for the students to bring a small amount of money to purchase something.
We will be viewing some of the exhibits at the museum and will spend some time at the wall of immigrant names. We will look for plaques with the names of family members and do rubbings of them and others that seem particularly interesting to us. We are all looking forward to this trip; it should be fun and interesting. If you have any questions, feel free to call either Barat or Hallie.
