Prospective Parents >> Welcome
Welcome
Dear Families,Thank you for expressing an interest in Washington Montessori. I hope that you will find our website helpful as you look to learn more about our school. I encourage you to look through the “About Us” and “Educational Programs” sections for specific information about what we offer.
Choosing a school for your child is a daunting experience. Whether your child is 2 and embarking on his or her first experience separate from you or is 12 and looking for a new educational opportunity before high school, I can only imagine that you have many questions about what is so unique and special about Washington Montessori. In short, I believe that you will be impressed with how self-directed and independent our students are. They love their school and they will surely tell you that when they give you a tour! As one visiting parent recently said to me after a tour and classroom observation, “you teach all the same things as other schools, plus some very cool different things, but in really neat ways!”
I invite you to come for a visit. Meeting our students and seeing our classrooms in action is the best way to understand what Washington Montessori is all about. You are bound to have lots of questions…perhaps about our mixed-aged classrooms, or maybe about how your child might transition in from a traditional school. I look forward to answering them all. Please feel free to call or email anytime with questions about our school and/or about the Admissions Process.
Just the fact that you are perusing the Washington Montessori website tells me that you are interested in finding the best education for your son or daughter. We know that WMS kids graduate prepared for whatever high school they choose to attend. We also know that they leave here prepared for life. As an alum of WMS, as well as the parent of three WMS students, I can assure you that you will like what you see.
All the best,
